Welcome to Inevitable!
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Inevitable.
This policy is designed to comply with applicable U.S. privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act, Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and Utah Consumer Privacy Act. It also is intended to comply with all laws of other jurisdictions where Inevitable’s service may be used.
Information We Collect
There is a variety of information that we may collect while helping you in meeting your end-of-life planning goals. That could include personal information (name, date of birth, email address, address), or usage data (IP address, device), and payment information. It will obviously also include a variety of other information directly related to Inevitable’s service: ensuring that you have everything in place in case you or your loved ones pass on.
Sensitive Personal Information
In addition to general personal information, Inevitable may collect Sensitive Personal Information to fulfill your planning goals. This may include...
- Legal & Government IDs: SSNs or government-issued IDs for document verification.
- Financial Information: Account access details for your designated legacy contacts.
- Health Data: Medical directives or end-of-life care preferences.
- Private Beliefs: Information regarding religious or philosophical funeral preferences.
We do not sell or share (for targeted advertising) any Sensitive Personal Information. We only process this data to provide the core functionality of Inevitable, and you may request to limit our use of this data at any time.
How We Collect Information
We only collect information in two ways: from you directly, or automatically via cookies and other tracking technologies. When you sign up to use Inevitable, you will always have the option to opt-in or opt-out of the use of cookies and other technology when using our service. You are also always able to change your choice (i.e., opt-in or opt-out later)!
Purposes for Collection and Use
We use your personal information to ensure that Inevitable helps you achieve you and your family’s goals. We also use it to communicate with you, personalize your experience, process any necessary transactions, improve Inevitable’s service, detect any potential fraud or security risks, and to comply with any legal obligations.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Inevitable DOES NOT sell your personal information or share it with third parties for targeted advertising. We only disclose your information to trusted third-party service providers to perform essential functions on our behalf. These include:
- Payment Processors: To securely handle transactions.
- Cloud Storage: To host and protect your end-of-life documents.
- Analytics Providers: To help us improve our platform’s performance.

ADDITIONALLY, RESIDENTS OF INTERNATIONAL JURISDICTIONS INCLUDING THE EUROPEAN UNION, CANADA, AND MEXICO MAY HAVE SIMILAR RIGHTS. IF YOU ACCESS INEVITABLE FROM OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES, YOUR DATA MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO AND PROCESSED IN THE UNITED STATES.
INEVITABLE WILL HONOR APPLICABLE RIGHTS AS REQUIRED BY LAW, AND WILL ENSURE THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF DATA PROTECTION.
Exercising Your Rights
To exercise your rights, you may email info@theinevitable.co. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests. Additionally, you may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
Children’s Privacy
Inevitable’s service IS NOT INTENDED for children under 13, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services such as payment processors, analytics tools, and any other service which may be necessary. These third parties have their own privacy policies.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date.
